Community-led build of social rent homes in Wales' capital
We’re excited to be collaborating with Wates to build social rent homes for Cardiff Council through the Cardiff Living Framework.
With the full involvement of the local community in their construction and using only Welsh timber and natural materials, these homes will demonstrate the very best in modern methods of construction and low embodied/operational carbon – all with community impact at the heart.
Not only that, these homes will also be some of the first houses to be built to the new Tai ar y Cyd Pattern Book – a unique collaboration between social landlords, government, and industry experts to tackle housing challenges in Wales.

These homes are being designed and built by Down to Earth’s in-house architecture and community-led construction team.
We’re at Stage 1 Design right now and will be sharing more details soon on the programme.
